METRO WEST DAILY NEWS – Anglers from across New England will converge on Marlborough next month for the annual Fly Fishing Show.
The show will be held Jan. 19-21 at the Best Western Royal Plaza Trade Center.
The event will feature 10 demonstrations or audio/visual presentations each hour plus wall-to-wall displays of new fresh and saltwater rods, reels, lines, boots, waders, clothing and flies.
Show visitors can learn about lodges and exotic fly fishing destinations, view fly-tying demonstrations and do-it-yourself seminars.
Experienced fly fishermen Joe Humphreys, Jeff Currier, Bob Clouser and Gary Borger will host casting demonstrations. There will also be fly-tying demonstrations by Ed Engle, Nate Brumley, Tim Flager, Borger and Clouser.
The New England premiere of the 2018 Fly Fishing Film Festival will be held Friday, Jan. 19 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.
Admission to the show is $15 for one day, $25 for two days and $35 for three days. The cost for children under 12 to attend is $5. There is no admission for children under 5 and Boy and Girl Scouts under 16 in uniform.
