Richard counts over 30 years in the hospitality industry, of which 22 years have been with Hilton Hotel Corporation. Previously he worked with Starwood Hotels (Sheraton) in New Hampshire and Maryland and the Intercontinental Hotels Group (Holiday Inn) in Ohio and Boston.
Currently he is General Manager of the Embassy Suites Hotel, Marlborough, overseeing a 229 all-suite hotel. He has held this position for the past 16 years. Richard opened the Embassy Suites Marlborough in 1995 after a complete renovation to the existing hotel while developing a new wing and changing the dynamic and configuration of the previous hotel significantly. The Embassy Suites Marlborough has consistently ranked in the top percent of all Embassy Suites in the Hilton Worldwide system and is one of the premier hotels in the Metrowest area. Most recently the hotel was awarded the 2009 Large Business of the Year award by the Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Richard has also been the chairman of the Marlborough Convention and Visitors Bureau and is an active proponent of economic and tourism development in the city.
Dave is co-owner of Patriot Ambulance, Inc. Following in his father’s foot steps, he became a Firefighter/EMT for the Town of Concord, Mass. He worked for 16 years for the Town while starting the ambulance business with his partner Maurice Ryan in 1979.
With the expansion of Patriot Ambulance, Inc. in 1991, Dave left the Concord Fire Department to devote himself full time to the business. Patriot Ambulance currently provides ambulance services to the Cities of Marlborough and Lawrence and to the Towns of Hudson and Dracut. Patriot Ambulance serves a population base of over 220,000 citizens in Massachusetts and responds to over 20,000 emergency calls per year. Patriot Ambulance, Inc. is a member of Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce, Marlborough Rotary, Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce and Lawrence Rotary.
Dave Walton was the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce in 2011. He was the recipient of the Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce “Businessperson of the Year” Award in 2007.
Michael Murphy is the President of D.F. Murphy Insurance Agency, a local insurance agency headquartered in Hudson, MA, with additional offices in Bolton, Harvard, Groton, Marlborough, Mendon and Medway.
He is active in the community and holds positions on the Board of Governors of the Boys and Girls Club of Metrowest and as Vice Chair on the Board of Trustees at Marlborough Hospital.
Arthur G. Vigeant – Member
Arthur Vigeant is the the Mayor of Marlborough. Elected to the Marlborough City Council as a Councilor-At-Large in 1993, Arthur has served the community and has distinguished himself as a legislative leader, both as Chairman of the Finance Committee for six years and as Council President for nine years.
Arthur has supported economic tax development to ease the tax burden on the residential taxpayer and create jobs sorely needed in this economy. He has been a constant advocate for planned industrial growth in Marlborough, and has negotiated tax incentive programs to benefit companies such as Boston Scientific, Sepracor and Cytec. He also initiated the development of the former vacant Frye Boot lot which resulted in 81 affordable senior housing units.
As a consummate supporter of the municipal corporation he serves, Arthur Vigeant initiated the establishment of the Code Enforcement Officer, created a citizen funded scholarship program to help local, college-bound students, was an initial partner in establishing the Adopt-A-Space beautification program and sponsored the establishment of the Open Space Fund to help preserve over 450 acres of land in the city.
Arthur served on the City of Marlborough Retirement Board and as a board member and treasurer for the Marlborough Chamber of Commerce prior to his election as City Councilor-at-Large. He is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants and is a graduate of Worcester State College.
Arthur Vigeant has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1990 with offices at the historic Corey Building in downtown Marlborough. As a sole practitioner, Arthur takes pride in providing financial services to both individuals and businesses. He is proud to offer hands-on, quality service in the community in which he was born.
William M. Pezzoni – Member
William is an attorney with the law firm of Day Pitney LLP. He was formerly with Mirick O’Connell. He concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial lending, real estate law, zoning, wetlands and land use. He assists clients with site assessment, purchase, sale and development of commercial, industrial, retail, mixed-use and residential properties; commercial and retail leasing, leasebacks and planning; and title insurance and litigation support for title issues.
He also works in the areas of corporate law, finance, commercial banking, business planning and litigation. He is an issuing agent and provides litigation support for First American Title Insurance Company.
William is also a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee for the MetroWest Chamber of Commerce and 495 Partnership (Arc of Innovation). He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Real Estate Bar Association (REBA) and the Worcester County Bar Association.
William received his J.D. from New England School of Law, 1980, and his B.S. from Boston College, 1973.
Joe Delano is the owner of Delano Financial Management and is a Registered Principal with LPL Financial. Delano Financial Management offers Investment and Compliance Management services for credit unions and financial advisors, as well as individual Investment Management for individuals and families. He has been in the investment arena for over thirty years, with E.F. Hutton, Merrill Lynch, for over two decades with LPL Financial.
Among other professional and charitable affiliations, Joe was a founder and served for several years as the Chairman of the Board of the Main Street Journal newspaper in Marlborough, Ma. In addition he has served as the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Marlborough, Inc. Also of note is his past service on the Board of Directors for St. Mary’s Credit Union, and he continues as a member of the Asset Liability Management Committee charged with overseeing the safety and soundness of the credit union’s balance sheet.
Joe Delano also was elected and served a four-year term on the Marlborough School Committee, and was subsequently elected to the Marlborough City Council and is currently serving in his fifth term of office, as the City Council Vice President.
