Master Plan

Background         

The Marlborough Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) was designated by the City of Marlborough to prepare a comprehensive Economic Development Master Plan for the City.   The Economic Development Master Plan comprises two separate and distinct documents:

1. Economic Development Strategy for the City of Marlborough
2. Economic Development Action Plan for the City of Marlborough

The documents that comprise the final master plan product are analytically based, involved public participation, and are action-oriented. 

The MEDC took a fast track approach in carrying out the proposed economic development master planning process with the aim of  producing an Economic Development Strategy and an Economic Development Action Plan that are concise, yet comprehensive documents which will provide a basis for decision-making regarding the City’s economic development future. 

The documents clearly articulate a community vision of the City’s economic development future, the goals that will lead to the realization of that future and the identification of those specific opportunities and actions that will be required to achieve the community’s economic development goals.
