December 14, 2010 – The Marlborough Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) has been designated by the City of Marlborough to prepare a comprehensive Economic Development Master Plan for the City. MEDC has issued an RFP and is seeking proposals from qualified, experienced, and multi-disciplinary consulting teams to provide MEDC with the required professional services to successfully complete the Master Plan.
According to MEDC Executive Director George Ciccone, “The goal of the Master plan is to identify the current state of the local economy, develop a community consensus of how we want the local economy to develop, and an action plan that identifies the specific economic development policies, programs, projects and activities that will be necessary to get us there. MEDC with the assistance of experienced consultants will undertake this planning project during the coming year. It is expected that the Master Plan will be analytically-based, involve public participation and be action-oriented. We hope to reach out to the community for input and participation through community surveys, interviews, focus groups and public meetings.”
Copies of the RFP will be available upon request from the MEDC Office at 91 Main Street, Suite 204, Marlborough, MA 01752, as of December 15, 2010 through January 14, 2011. Deadline for submission of proposals is 4:30 PM on January 14, 2011 at the MEDC Office.
