METRO WEST DAILY NEWS – (EXCERPT) In Marlborough, downtown zoning was modified to foster development of mixed-use projects and make zoning less restrictive, said Meredith Harris, executive director of the Marlborough Economic Development Corporation.
And, the city’s downtown landscape is going to change with a four-story, 40-apartment housing addition coming to the Fish restaurant building and a mixed-use project that includes businesses and 32 condos set for several parcels on Main Street. The City Council has approved both of those developments.
“The projects we’re seeing are exactly what everyone envisioned,” she said. “We’re trying to keep with the enchantment of downtown and also strive for some more activities.”
