Marlborough councils OKs $4M bond for roadwork

METRO WEST DAILY NEWS – Nearly 10 streets throughout the city will get a facelift after City Councilors on Monday approved a $4 million bond for road repairs. Streets include Concord Road, Pleasant Street, Beach Street, Fontaine Street, Kings View Road, Memory Lane and Forbes Avenue.

Some of the work includes milling and overlay on Concord Road, lower Pleasant Street, Pleasant Street from Lincoln Street to Berlin Road and Beach Street. Milling and overlay is the process of grinding off the top layer of existing asphalt with a large machine and replacing it with a new surface.

The mayor hopes several of the projects can be completed by the end of the year…
