MASS LIVE – The team behind The Fix Burger Bar in Worcester is opening a second location in Marlborough this fall.
The restaurant will move into to former Allora Ristorante property at 139 Lakeside Ave., according to Niche Hospitality President Michael Covino, who told the Community Advocate that he has signed a “long-term” lease for the space and plans to open Nov. 1.
Covino said the restaurant will include 150 seats and a 24-stool bar.
It will be The Fix’s second location.
Niche operates a number of restaurants in the area, including Bocado Tapas Wine Bar, Mezcal Tequila Cantina, Nonna’s Pizza and Pasta, Railers Sports Tavern, Rye & Thyme American Tavern, and Steam Energy Cafe.
Covino told the Advocate that he was drawn to Marlborough because of its population, easy highway access and central location.
The Fix is known for its handmade burgers, selection of more than 40 toppings, house-made sodas and other fountain classics. The Worcester restaurant is located at 108 Grove St.
The owners of the former Allora Ristorante were evicted from their spot off Lake Williams early this year after failing to pay more than $50,000 in rent and back taxes. The restaurant opened in 2007.
