WORCESTER BUSINESS JOURNAL – A year ago, the Marlborough Economic Development Corp. reached an agreement to be the only community to be promoted by the culinary TV show Phantom Gourmet.
After what Phantom Gourmet says is 10 million impressions the partnership has given Marlborough through the show, its social media and its events, the development office has renewed the deal. It announced the renewal at its annual reception Sept. 26.
The show, which airs weekends on the Boston station myTV38, has been providing an outlet for the Marlborough Economic Development Corp., a city agency, to promote Marlborough for not only its restaurants but also as a place to live and work. Phantom Gourmet has begun production of a 30-second commercial highlighting Marlborough’s business-friendly practices, including expedited permitting and financial incentives, the agency said.
