COMMUNITY ADVOCATE – City Councilors have acknowledged there have been numerous concerns from residents regarding a proposed 188-unit residential development at 339 Boston Post Road (Route 20 East) known as the McGee property. As such, there is a public hearing scheduled for Monday, June 8.
The Council voted to send the matter to the Urban Affairs Committee and set the Public Hearing for June 8, though given the current state mandates and remote meetings, Council President Michael Ossing said “We have the ability to continue the Public Hearing based on the guidance that comes out from the Governor’s office.”
Several councilors expressed the importance of concerned residents being able to voice their opinions which can be difficult with remote technology.
Attorney Brian Falk submitted the Permit request on behalf of WP Marlborough MA Owner, LLC based in Stamford, Conn. The “high-end residential” project, to be known as Volaris Marlborough would consist of 188 units in four buildings along with garages, parking spaces, landscaping “open space and walking trails.” The property is located at 339 Boston Post Road (Route 20 East).
