Executive Committee
Dan Stanhope, Chair

Dan leads high-energy engagement teams in providing assurance solutions to clients across a wide variety of privately-held, commercial industries, including: Construction, Manufacturing & Distribution, Cannabis, Professional Services, Architecture & Engineering, and Insurance. He offers detailed reports about audit findings and communicates business-critical information to management positively impacting their decision making. Dan is in his first year as chair of the Board of Directors for MEDC.
Dan has extensive experience in the construction industry, providing solutions to general contractors and subcontractors from $500,000 to over $1B in annual volume, assisting them with profit improvement and tax saving strategies. He advises clients with the selection and implementation of accounting software programs, marketing initiatives, and employee assessments. Dan’s surety, banking and insurance relationships are valuable to clients seeking renewal or initiating their next bond.
Dan consults on merger and acquisition considerations, and ways to maximize shareholder value, including opportunities to create efficiencies, lower operating costs, and generate the highest return on capital investments. He has extensive experience with planning and compliance aspects of partnership and corporate income tax returns.
Dan is an active member of AAF’s Accounting and Assurance Committee, and a leader of AAFCPAs’ commercial business practice, training professional staff on topics related to stock compensation, accounting treatment of transactions, and efficiency in assurance procedures. Prior to joining AAFCPAs in 2014, Dan gained over 10 years of experience in public accounting. He also serves on the City of Marlborough’s Other Post-Employment Benefits (OPEB) Board of Trustees.
Jon Pezzoni, Vice Chair/Secretary

Jon serves as a Senior Vice President in Avison Young’s Boston office. He specializes in representing tenants and landlords in commercial sales and leasing transactions of both Industrial and Office properties in the 495 West Market. Jon is in his first year of serving as MEDC’s Board of Directors vice chair.
Jon assists tenants by providing in-depth market intelligence, identifying, and evaluating space alternatives, performing due diligence, and negotiating the most favorable terms for his clients. He will ensure all terms negotiated are incorporated into the transaction and can assist with the coordination of move in.
When representing landlords, Jon advises owners, investors and developers in the sale or lease up of vacant space. In conjunction with ownership, Jon will create and execute a specific go-to-market strategy that will accurately and creatively position the asset in order to achieve maximum value.
Prior to joining Avison Young, Jon worked as an associate for Berkshire Realty Group and Capital Group Properties and as an intern for CBRE | New England. He is a graduate of Providence College and lives in the Marlborough area. Outside of the office, Jon enjoys playing golf and hockey.
Luiz Thomaz DaCosta, Treasurer

After working for SC Johnson and Ecolab in Brazil, Luiz started his family company, Modular Concepts, in 2014. Modular is a commercial service company that offers commercial cleaning, strip & wax, carpet washing, handyman, and other services for schools, health facilities, commercial offices, banks, churches, office buildings, etc. Modular has over 100 customers, over 65 employees and sub-contractors working with the company, and a brand-new office in Marlborough.
Luiz was born in Brazil and came to the US with his wife and two kids in 2007. He is a devoted Christian and is very involved with initiatives that impact the business and the overall community in the Marlborough region. He is also part of the Board of Directors for the Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce and the MetroWest Free Medical Program, as well as the co-chair of the UMass Memorial Marlborough Hospital PFAC and a Trustee of that same institution. In addition, he enjoys speaking at his industry’s conventions and seminars and mentoring other entrepreneurs.
Brian Bouvier, Member

Brian is the President of Bouvier Pharmacy & Home Medical Solutions. Prior to joining the family business, Brian was a vice president for Fidelity Investments in various sales, product development and relationship management roles. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s in economics and finance from the Whittemore School of Business at the University of New Hampshire. He has been on the MEDC Board of Directors for more than a decade and is in his first year of serving on the executive committee.
Brian lives in Grafton with his wife Brooke and two daughters, where he coaches high school girls’ lacrosse, enjoys skiing and triathlons. He also serves on the Board of Directors for St. Mary’s Credit Union, a $1B regional credit union in Marlborough and previously served on the Board of Trustees for UMass Memorial – Marlborough Hospital.
J. Christian Dumais, Member

Mayor J. Christian Dumais is a fifth-generation Marlborough resident. He grew up in downtown Marlborough on High Street. Growing up, he delivered papers for the Marlborough Enterprise and scooped ice cream at Trombettas. A proud graduate of Marlborough High School, he went on to obtain his Business Administration degree from Lasell University. Mayor Dumais has been a small business owner since 2010, owning DruMais Hair Salon & Day Spa in downtown Marlborough. He spent three terms on the City Council representing Ward 3, which encompasses much of the west side of the city and downtown. During his time on the City Council, Mayor Dumais served on the West Side Fire Station Committee for two years. He was elected Mayor in the 2023 election and assumed office on January 1st, 2024.
Michael Ossing, Member

Michael Ossing graduated from the Marlborough Public School system and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Lowell. Michael retired after being employed at the Seabrook Station Nuclear Power Plant for over 35 years. At Seabrook Station, Michael has held various engineering, project management and leadership positions, including Licensing Manager and Engineering Programs Manager. Michael has been on the City Council since 2000. He is currently serving in his 14th term on council and is serving his seventh year as City Council President. Michael is the Chairman of the City of Marlborough’s Municipal Aggregation Committee, a member of the Board of Trustees of the City of Marlborough’s Other Post Employment Benefits (OPEB) Trust Fund, and the Massachusetts Municipal Councilors’ Association District 2 Representative.
