Marlborough, MASS. November 7, 2012 – The Marlborough Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) is inviting local businesses and residents to attend a meeting to discuss the future of Route 20 East in the City of Marlborough. Open to the public, the event will take place on Thursday, November 15, 2012, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Stephen Anthony’s Restaurant, 999 Boston Post Road East, in Marlborough.

The MEDC has personally invited managers of businesses in the area to participate in the wide-ranging discussion. The City of Marlborough and the MEDC are working with professional consultants to address various ideas for this section of the city, including zoning and regulatory changes, infrastructure improvements, and streetscaping. “This highly visible area of the city has room for enhancements that could lead to significant increases in economic activity, which would benefit both residents and businesses throughout Marlborough,” said Tim Cummings of MEDC. “We know members of the community have lots of ideas, and we want to hear them all.”

The MEDC requests that interested parties RSVP to this event by contacting Linda Martins at the MEDC office by calling 508 229 2010 or emailing her at lmartins@marlboroughedc.com.
